YouTurn
YouTurn
Since these humble beginnings of supporting just 6 people with 5 volunteers in our first year, our organisation has grown and evolved into a vibrant national organisation dedicated to making a difference across the areas of Child Safety, Homelessness, Mental Health, and Suicide Prevention.
In August 2020, we rebranded our organisation and changed our name from United Synergies to Youturn – to truly encapsulate the service to those we support.
Most people reach out to us in times of intense crisis or emotional distress, seeking our understanding and compassion. Our staff provide non-judgmental, individualised support to those in need, ensuring we are delivering on our Mission, Vision, Values.

Community Broadcasting Foundation
Community Broadcasting Foundation
We are proud champions of community media – Australia’s largest independent media sector. From major cities to remote communities, we help people to create and support local, independent media.
Each year we grant more than $19.9 million so community media organisations can communicate, connect and share knowledge through independent radio, television and digital media. Our funding helps connect people across the country, including more than five million people who tune in to their local radio station weekly.
We support all areas of community media including Indigenous, ethnic, regional and radio reading (RPH).

“Connect, collaborate and create an impact in our community”
“Together, in friendship, we enrich the lives of women”
QCWA means something different to everyone. Our members come from all walks of life from all over Noosa Shire and beyond.
Tewantin Noosa branch held its first meeting in 1927. Our job is just as relevant today as it was then.
Our branch is a good place to connect and support each other, to learn new skills, and to do whatever we can to ease the way for women and their families. We aim to empower women through friendship, learning, contributions, and advocacy.
The branch makes donations supporting education, healthy communities, and women in crises. We hold regular street stalls selling home-made baked goods and crafts. All funds raised are donated to local charitable organisations.
Our monthly meetings are at 5pm on the last Wednesday of each month. These include speakers known for their contributions to the local community. Everyone is welcome to come along.
Our DIY Divas get together on a Thursday morning at 9am at the address below. Work on your own project, learn new skills and enjoy the company of like-minded women. A gold coin donation includes morning tea.
