NOOSA MAGAZINE: Sunday 9 am - 11 am Tracey loves words and how they can work in powerful and compelling ways to shape information; the ultimate goal being to captivate readers and listeners. She is fascinated in people’s stories and on her Noosa Magazine program you’ll hear interviews with interesting folk who have something unusual to say, each with an individual view on what’s important in life. There will also be news from around Australia and a mix of rock/pop and indie music. Tracey is a well experienced journalist with a passion for communications. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and English and a Graduate Diploma in Education. She has studied broadcasting for radio and television at the ‘Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts’ (WAAPA), and has lectured at two Australian universities in the fields of education, media theory, professional writing and public relations. She has worked for news agencies in Australia, Indonesia and The Middle East and her experiences as a media specialist include working as a radio reporter and producer with the ‘Australian Broadcasting Corporation’ (ABC), as a general news journalist, feature article writer and sub-editor for ‘News Limited’ and as a news reader/director and morning program presenter for commercial radio stations. More recently, Tracey’s deep affection for words led to her being chosen to review a book for the ‘Children’s Book Council of Australia’ which won the ‘Eve Pownall Award for Information Books’. She was also selected to judge the ‘Young Territory Author Awards’ in the Northern Territory of Australia. |
