JAMMIN' WITH JETHRO: Saturday 4 pm - 6 pm.

'Jethro' loves his music and has quarantined some of best soul and funk from the 70’s and 80’s - that golden era of sound in the UK, USA and Australia.

But music, like everything else, re-invents itself, regenerates and morphs into forever changing genres and styles.

So, on his Saturday night show you can also 'pin your ears back' and catch contemporary dance, electronica, synth pop and lounge.

"But music is politics too….even Justin Bieber" (according to Rolling Stone magazine). So, also get a serve of 'Jethro’s Jawbone' - a weekly look at current affairs, topical issues, and the politics of sport.

Drawing on Jethro’s (long) career in journalism, government affairs and media (and living on three continents) there’s no lack of fodder to pick on.

It's clear Jethro commits heart and SOUL to his program. Great listening from Melbourne, giving me the oomph to SOUL'Dier on when away from Sunny home.

I’m jumping on the soul train listening from the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Loving the eclectic mix of music.
Would love to hear “You Are Everything” by the original singers the soul group The Stylistics”.
Also in response to your remarks about the James Bond actors; Roger Moore has always been my favourite James Bond.
Looking forward to tuning in tomorrow night.

Hi Rebecca
I love that song by the Stylistics, too. I will play next week for you! Hope you listened in last night!...Yes, Roger Moore one of the best RIP.

I did tune in last night and really enjoyed your music selection.
Will look forward to hearing my request next Wednesday evening.
By the way, well done for donning the blue nail polish against male violence towards children. Hope your stance will encourage others to do so. I wonder if it would suit my husband!

Keep those great songs coming.
