JAZZ AT THE JUNCTION: Tuesday 12 pm - 2 pm SUNDAY COUNTRY: Sunday Noon - 2 pm (Alternate) My involvement with NOOSA FM began in 2005 as a volunteer receptionist. Encouraged to do the presenter course and first went to air in November 2007. My most recent program 'Jazz at the Junction' comprises of Vocal, Instrumental Jazz and Easy Listening including Australian Independent Artists. You can also tune in to 'Sunday Country' where presenters Wayne Carlson and myself alternate weekly to bring you a selection of, you guessed it, local and international country music. Thank you. Heard you say today that Doris Day was your favourite - well she is mine too and I have been a fan of hers since I was 13 and that is many decades ago!! Apparently she is now 95 as she has finally fessed up that she was born in 1922 not 1924 as she has always stated in the past. (or should I say the film studios had her age 2 years younger, which was quite a common thing in those days). I always couldn't work out how she was able to do so much at the age of 16 as far as singing in bands were concerned and even to get married but in actual fact she was 18 and nearly 19 when she married (for the first time).
